TSF48C
The TSF48C Santa Fe NEX is handcrafted in our pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. The solid spruce top is matched with a solid rosewood back for excellent projection, power and broad dynamic range. The theme is southwest Native American, with a black crow rosette, eagle fingerboard inlays, gloss natural finish and gold with amber pearl key tuners. Features a fully bound body and fretboard. The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a traditional, ultra strong dovetail joint. Includes Takamine's proprietary CTP-3 CoolTube preamp system paired with the unique Palathetic™ under-saddle pickup for peerless amplified response.
Bought one of these TSF48C Santa Fe over ten years ago and still plays and sounds and look's great. No performance issues to date. Change those battery's at least once a year. Speaking of the battery's, I can actually get a full year out of a set 4 AAA battery's and I keep the date installed on a sticky note on bottom of the battery tray, but if the battery starts getting low a light will come on to let me know it's time to change them out. This TSF48C really comes to life plugged in. So warm and easy to play. It has made me a better player. I have picked up a couple other Tak's for beating around the house since then. The GJ72-NAT G-Series is one of them, it has a more projected sound un-plugged, and way less than half the price. Both play very smooth and similar. I had an older G-Series and back then they were known for a high set-up making it rough to play after 30 to 45 minutes. The new G-Series has a much lower set-up and can play it for an hour plus before feeling the string cut. Thanks, Takamine, I see a lot more of them around lately. Glad I was early on this bus.
