Pro Series P7DC Demo by Jake Allen

Guitarist Jake Allen is here doing some of his best stuff on one of Takamine's best guitars: the Pro Series P7DC. This powerful handcrafted dreadnought combines tradition with contemporary refinements; a solid spruce top with scalloped "X" top bracing and solid rosewood back and sides for rich clarity and projection, a convenient Venetian cutaway for easy access to the upper reaches of the fingerboard, and elegant maple body binding with dark wood purfling and abalone rosette. The P7DC features Takamine's proprietary CTP-3 CoolTube™ preamp system paired with the unique Palathetic™ under-saddle pickup for peerless amplified response. Premium design appointments include an ebony fingerboard with ivory binding, abalone "snowflake" inlays, a dark rosewood headcap with abalone Takamine logo, gold tuners with gold buttons, a natural bone nut and smooth gloss natural finish. The P7DC comes complete with a premium archtop hardshell case.

Easy to play, sharp looks, and powerful sound...this guitar is just simply amazing!  I find it very hard to put in down; it simply inspires me.  In fact, I love playing it unplugged just as much as amplified through the excellent CTP-3.  Either way, it has a big, full sound without being boomy.  As an aside, I plugged this into my Fishman Aura Spectrum and could not find any guitar modeling setting better than the CTP-3 straight into the sound system!  I also can get a full dynamic range out of it, from light fingerpicking to heavy strumming.  Several guitarists very biased toward other brands have been quickly converted when they have heard me play.  Takamine all the way!
