Takamine Welcomes Damian Pacheco to Artist Roster

Takamine is happy to welcome acclaimed regional Mexican musician Damian Pacheco to our family of artists. Pacheco is an expert of the 12-string guitar, and is best known for his work as the guitarist and producer for California-based band Eslabon Armado.
Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Damian comes from a family with origins in Caborca, Sonora, Mexico. That vibrant cultural background became a big influence on his musical taste and style. Picking up the guitar at age 10, Damian would often participate in family-based jams and singalongs, giving him a creative spark that’s lasted his entire life since.

Damian has been recording and touring with Eslabon Armado since 2022, and has been playing Takamine Guitars the entire time. While he’s used a number of different Takamine models, his current guitar of choice is the Pro Series P3DC-12. You’ll also see him onstage with guitars including the Legacy Series EF381SC and more.
Miguel Soto, Takamine USA Executive Vice President, says, “We’re very proud to make Damian an official member of our renowned artist roster. He joins some of the world’s most respected and influential players in regional Mexican music as part of the Takamine artist family, and we know he’ll be an excellent representative of the Takamine guitar brand.”
Damian stated, “Takamine is the most representative brand of guitars when it comes to Regional Mexican music. When you think of the instrument “requinto”, no other name comes before Takamine. Although this is the case, Takamine has the ability to bring musicians from any genre together, due to its high quality and versatility. Music is a universal language, and Takamine does a great job of letting us communicate.”
