Takamine Guitars Rocks the 2025 NAMM Show
Takamine Guitars Rocks the 2025 NAMM Show
Here’s some perspective for you.
Takamine Guitars was founded in 1962, making it one of the most established and respected brands in the world of acoustic guitars. But the NAMM Show started a full 60 years before that, hosting its first trade convention in 1902. 123 years later, Takamine — along with our US distribution partner ESP Guitars — was once again back at NAMM, and the 2025 show was one of our best yet.
Outstanding New Guitars
The star of a good NAMM exhibit is always the products being shown, and Takamine brought our annual special Limited Edition guitar, the LTD2025, to be appreciated by everyone who picked it up and tried it out.
But just as well received were the six new additions to our value-packed G Series, with the GD21CE, GY21E, GN37CE, GF49CE, GN73CE, and the uniquely great GD74CE-12U on display at the booth. Most of the Takamine dealers and musical instrument media who tried them out couldn’t stop marveling about the incredible degree of quality and playability were packed into such affordable guitar models. You can get detailed info and specs on all New for 2025 Takamine Guitars.

Appointment-Based Booth
Some NAMM visitors were surprised to see that we limited admission to the Takamine booth for only our dealers and international distributors, along with select media reps. A number of other NAMM exhibitors followed the same plan, and you should know why.
The NAMM Show was always intended to be a business event, connecting manufacturers of instruments and gear to the retailers and distributors who offer them for sale to the public. For many decades, a NAMM badge was very exclusive; if you didn’t work for a manufacturer, a store, or a related business entity, you simply couldn’t get in (at least without faking it somehow).
The Takamine booth, located up on the second floor of the Anaheim Convention Center away from the din of the NAMM Show floor, was constantly busy with a steady flow of our dealers and other international distributors there to check out the new additions
More recently, NAMM has become a more consumer-oriented event, and that was fine… until it started getting in the way of the exhibitors’ ability to do business at the show. There were times at previous shows when the booth was so jam-packed with visitors that we were unable to hold meetings with our dealers. Sometimes they couldn’t even get inside the booth.
To ensure our customers had all the info on our “New for 2025” lineup, a full week before NAMM started, we hosted our Takamine Showcase livestream video event, reaching thousands of people not just in a convention center in Anaheim, CA, but around the world. We’d love to bring together all Takamine players in one place at one time if we could; perhaps someday we’ll host our own event that will be fully open to the public. Let us know if that sounds like something you’d be interested in attending.
Another NAMM Show in the Books
It takes a lot of thought and planning and effort to successfully do the NAMM Show, and Takamine makes every effort to make it better each passing year. We thank all of our great dealers and distributors who stopped by the booth, along with the members of the musical instrument media. Here’s to old friends, new guitars, and great music… all things we get fulfilled aplenty at a NAMM Show!
